some thoughts [Jul. 9th, 2009|05:45 pm]
ennui
too little
too late
more of the same
again , with colors this time
i don't think i got your name?
not that it matters
or martyrs
please
just stop
we need the wood elsewhere
and it's grown tiresome
i suppose i could charge in and
......
can't really be bothered
it's all the same anyway
devoid of meaning
just going through the motions.
ennui

in other thoughts i've decided that it's enough to know i can anytime i want to. i don't actually have to perform the actions. much less messy that way.

busy week. [Jul. 8th, 2009|03:40 pm]
so, fellow stage crafters i have a question. i have to make a metric shitton of stage blood for this friday and wondered if anyone out there had a good formula for making it by the 5 gallon bucketload?

this isn't new [Jul. 7th, 2009|09:05 pm]
i've been here before
this was expected
this is necessary
creation begets chaos
chaos re-aligns order
order resumes from the rubble
the new alloy is stronger than the individual parts that were tempered in the fire
nothing unexpected is occurring.

back to work. [Jul. 7th, 2009|06:34 pm]
hitting the streets hard tomorrow with hazmat promo and prepping an old stage prop for bloodfeast that hasn't seen the spotlight in about 5 years. hope the damned thing still works and that i don't get eaten alive by bugs dragging it out of the back storage.
as for everything else...
things change.
people move on.
people die.
that's just the way life is.
i'm not going to sit around trapped in yesterday lamenting losses when i can be moving forward.
it's not the first change, tragedy or heartbreak i've gone through and life doesn't stop so
get back to work.

repost for FFF this year at the end of september [Jul. 2nd, 2009|01:38 am]
this is a great deal. if you can take advantage of it you should absolutely book early so that all your entertainment and shopping is free.

We're extending the Early Bird prices one last time, to July 7th! After that the prices jump (although I do realize even after that we are still the least expensive event of this kind there is!)

Please forward this announcement far and wide! (But where appropriate please...)

The special Early Bird package price on the FFF Carolinas has been extended to July 7th. The price is a mere $200 for one person, 2 nights hotel and all events, or $250 per couple!

The Early Bird price was supposed to end on June 1st, but we had some computer problems, so I extended it to July 1st, and now I'm extending it one more week because apparently I got the date wrong on the website. This special price is basically like getting admission to everything free, since with the taxes and fees on the hotel you would pay about $200 for the hotel alone!

To purchase tickets, visit https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/62205

Here's the current details on the FFF Carolinas:

Fetish Fair Fleamarket Carolinas is back for a third year in Charlotte, NC! Same hotel, same weekend, and same prices, but many new vendors, new presenters and classes, and some new events! We'll start classes and vending on Friday night this time, to give everyone more of a whole weekend of fetish fun!

September 25 - 27, 2009

Ramada Woodlawn Hotel
212 W. Woodlawn Rd.
Charlotte, NC 28217
Located right off I-77 at Exit 6A!

We bring together 30-35 of the best vendors from around the country and the southeast with a full slate of classes, demos, and discussion, plus a world-class fetish art photography exhibit.

Admission to just vending and classes is a mere $10 per person. It's a great event to bring your kink-curious friends to, so they can check out what it's all about in a low-pressure, friendly and educational atmosphere.

Then there are the nighttime dungeon parties. We transform the ballroom into a playroom for a terrific time. These parties are separate admission. We're still working out the details but Friday night's event will likely incorporate a fundraiser for NCSF (I'm thinking slave auction instead of items? What do you think?) and Saturday night CAPEX will take over for a great play party.

If you'd like to just book one night of hotel, or book separately from buying a ticket package (everything is available a la carte), just call the Ramada for a reservation at (704) 525-8350 and ask for Group Code FFF!

For all the details, check our website at http://www.fetishfairfleamarket.com/fff-charlotte2.html

We'll be updating the class and presenter list and the vendor list as we get closer to the event, but you can already see a lot of the program there. We also post updates to out Livejournal community: http://community.livejournal.com/fff_carolinas/

On the slate for this time around:

Single Tail Dancing by Leenie
Bondage Knots that Don't Suck by Jack Elfrink
Unconventional Dynamics: Relationships by Tom and Jen
The Doctor will See You Now: Medical Play by Helga
Writing BDSM by Dahlia Rose
Safety In and Out of Scene by Sir Tri

as well as classes on knife play, CBT, vampire role play, and much more!

Among the vendors we have committed to coming:

Leather by Danny -- all kinds of creative restraints, cuffs, and collars. Danny is the inventor of the "grip cuff" and many other innovative bondage items. If it can be made from leather, Danny makes it!

S. M. Hertz -- from Texas, with handmade floggers, but much more, like full leather body bags, leather chastity shorts, and who knows what other fun things they will bring?

The Latex Store -- another Texas-based vendor, these folks travel the world with the top latex fashions, including dresses, leggings, skirts, shirts, jocks, and also inflatable gags and other rubber & latex toys.

Leathrworks -- the creations of Leathr Lee, including floggers made to be used by those with weak or injured wrists, as well as a nice assortment of knives and other toys.

KinkyRopes.com -- Center-marked bondage rope and other rope-play accessories.

Dragontailz -- If you haven't played with a dragontail yet, you are in for a treat. Much of the sensation and control of a whip without the cutting damage or space-requirements of one. Dragontailz specializes in these lovely leather implements, and sells other toys, too.

Whether you just come for the day or make a whole weekend-long experience out of it, the Fetish Fair Fleamarket has something for everyone and every budget.

Interested in vending? The registration forms can be downloaded from our website. A six-foot table top starts at only $89! Deadline for registration is July 15th and many slots are already filled, so don't delay!

Interested in volunteering? Please sign up for a shift here:

If you have any questions, suggestions, want to host a meetup. or have any other communications for us, please don't hesitate to email us at: FFF.Carolinas(AT)gmail.com. See you in September!

meh [Jun. 22nd, 2009|04:53 pm]
while i am excited at all the projects that i'm working on i fear i am sinking beneath the weight of the work involved in them.my stress levels have risen astronomically and my patience has shortened considerably. i feel out of balance and need to correct this so that a- the projects don't get shorted and b- i can maintain some sort of anity while working on them.

clarification on undervelt august @ the charlotte underground [Jun. 18th, 2009|11:07 pm]
this is not a singlecell event.
2 of us have been invited to appear and spin at end's event and we took him up on his offer.
the scp goblin is proudly displayed on each and every one of our events.
so for all the conspiracy theorists i've heard out there, no.
i have no intention or desire to take over charlotte's underground.
i was invited by the club's booking agent to help promote industrial and goth acts and after talking with spider i have agreed to both help support other's bookings in the city and to help bring as many of the darker bands to charlotte as i can. we are working together on this in co-operation, not as opponents just as we support shiprocked, house of burlesque and many other entertainment groups in this city.
needless division and backbiting only hurts the scene. we can take a lesson from other times in this city where nonsense like this helped bring everything down and not repeat the mistakes of the past.
honestly,a few trolls starting these rumors could go get a life and quit trying ti live other people's. better yet, go buy a turtle.
link4 comments|post comment

eh, fuck it. [Jun. 6th, 2009|06:37 am]
i've decided that things and people in my past can stay there.
anything that ended did so for a reason.
rehashing old mistakes is not something that i want to make a habit of.
i declined an offer last week that i wouldn't have a year ago. i think maybe i'm growing up a little.
i'm bored with random bump in the night encounters.
i've also been up way too long today and can't sleep (what else is new?)
gonna try to finish my book then go have fun in hickory saturday.

unless i lock my keys and my phone in my car at circle k and have to walk to the apartment out of contact with the other group entirely.
*facepalm*
